Cedar Patio Cover in The Colony

Our recent customer in The Colony wanted more than just a little extra shade. They wanted an outdoor space that looked like it belonged with their home and solved a few problems at the same time. We designed and built a custom shed-style patio cover using 100% Western Red Cedar, complete with exposed rafters that give the structure a warm, timeless look. Electrical was added for a ceiling fan, creating a comfortable place to relax through the hottest Texas afternoons.

The project also included an expanded patio finished with brushed gray concrete, giving the backyard a clean, modern foundation with plenty of room for entertaining. While improving the outdoor living space, we also addressed a drainage issue by installing a French drain to redirect standing water away from the home's foundation and out toward the front of the property. It's the kind of upgrade that not only makes the backyard more beautiful but also helps protect the home for years to come.
